A Lovely You – Makeup Tips for Every Woman

Fall Polish Trend: Burnt Orange

Posted on: August 30, 2011

I wrote in detail about Fall 2011’s nail trends, but one shade in particular has captured my attention and held it – burnt orange nail polish. Because jewel-like tones are so hot for fall, I decided to single out this shade in particular because it just screams fall to me. If you’re loving the look too, try one of these nail colors to drench your tips in a trendy color that works for both day and night!

1. Essie Nail Polish in Alligator Purse

Not only does this polish have a super-fun name, it’s a gorgeous and creamy burnt orange color that looks equally at home on fingers or toes. Unfortunately, Essie’s website seems to be currently out of stock of this particular shade, but recommends you try local salons to nab this lovely shade for yourself.

2. Butter London ‘3 Free’ Nail Lacquer in Minger

Despite this shade being a couple years old, you can still purchase it via the butter london website for $14, a real steal when you consider how popular this color is apt to be come fall. This edgy burnt orange offers instant style points to any outfit, and I can easily claim it is one of my favorites in the burnt orange family.

3. OPI Chop-Sticking to My Story

I was lucky enough to find this polish (originally from OPI’s Hong Kong collection) on Amazon for a great price, and couldn’t be happier. It’s creamy, long lasting and just the perfect shade of burnt orange. In fact, it’s what I’m wearing right now!

Luckily, all of these polishes are surprisingly easy to find despite the fact they aren’t new anymore, and you should be able to snap all of them up for fairly reasonable prices. If you know of another burnt orange polish, let me know in the comments! Stay lovely, faithful readers. 🙂
