Red Lipstick that Flatters EVERY Skin Tone

Posted on: November 18, 2011

Believe it or not, you can find a red lipstick that flatters every skin tone. If you’ve struggled to find that perfect red lipstick for you, take a look at my picks for the most flattering red lipsticks around.

1. MAC Lipstick -Russian Red

Long wearing, creamy and never drying, MAC Lipstick in Russian Red is many women’s go-to red lipstick. No  matter what your skin tone, this red flatters darn near every woman, making it a must-have for those times when you need a bold lip that you know will look fantastic!

($14.50, MAC Cosmetics)

2. Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in RD 165

This lipcolor can be annoyingly difficult to find, but a quick search online yields a few results – be prepared to pay a pretty penny for it, though. It may be worth it however when you consider how difficult it can be to find a universally flattering red lipstick! This creamy formula looks good on fair skin, dark skin and everything in between; wear it alone or with a layer of clear gloss on top for a super shiny pout.

($35)

3. Laura Mercier Lipstick – Bing Cherry

With flattering pink-and-brown undertones, this red lipstick from Laura Mercier flatters any complexion. The creamy consistency is easy to apply, and the color stays true for hours without bleeding – hard to say with a lot of lipcolors!

($22, Saks)
