A Lovely You – Makeup Tips for Every Woman

Spring 2012 Beauty Trends

Posted on: November 23, 2011

It’s hard to think about spring when it’s still chilly outside, but I love looking ahead to some of the top spring 2012 beauty trends we can expect to see next year. Here are some of my favorites!

Full Brows

This season, it’s all about letting your brows be the focal point of your face. Keep them neatly trimmed, but allow their natural shape to shine – full brows are in for spring! If you went a little crazy with the tweezers, fill in sparse brows with a coordinating brow pencil like Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil ($22, Sephora.)

Red Lips

Plenty of models strutted their stuff on the spring runways sporting a bold red lip. While typically a fall color, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the coming of spring than with a bright pop of color! For a truly universally flattering red lipstick, try MAC Lipstick in Russian Red ($14.50, MAC Cosmetics.)

Bright Locks

Play around with your hair color by injecting a jolt of fierce, bright color like electric blue, yellow, green, pink – you get the idea! While an all-over neon shade may not be practical for day to day, consider highlighting various sections of your hair or go temporary with clip-in hair extensions in a bright shade. I think this is one of the most fun trends for spring, don’t you?

Pastel Nail Polish

Nothing says spring more than pastels, and pastel nail color is totally wearable for any woman. From mint to green to pale pink and everything in between, pastel nails are perfect for this season. One to try: Essie Borrowed & Blue, $8.

Which trend are you going to rock come spring?
