A Lovely You – Makeup Tips for Every Woman

Cruelty Free Lip Color

Posted on: February 9, 2012

While I don’t subscribe to an entirely cruelty-free beauty regimen, I do like to look for natural/cruelty-free products when I can. If you’re looking for cruelty free  lip color, look no farther than these recommendations.

1. BWC Natural Infusion Moisturizing Vegan Lipstick

Made from a blend of natural/organic waxes, these vegan lipsticks are reportedly soft, creamy and very moisturizing. They have 12 colors available to choose from so you’re almost guaranteed to find a shade you love.

($21.95, Alternative Outfitters)

2. OCC Lip Tar

100% vegan and cruelty-free, OCC Lip Tar contains a blend of hemp oil, peppermint oil, and Vitamin E to soften and condition lips without drying like some conventional lip color can. LOTS of shades to choose from, including bright and bold shades for the daring!

($13.50, occmakeup.com)

3. EcoTint Moisturizing Lip Tint

With over 90% certified organic ingredients, you can feel good about using these cruelty-free balms. Reviews say they are exceptionally moisturizing while leaving a tint of color on lips for the perfect pout.

($4.49, Be Well Stay Well)

4. Red Apple Lipstick

Not only are these lipsticks cruelty-free, but they’re also gluten free, paraben free, AND allergen free. Several shades are available, from soft pinks to vibrant reds. They also offer little sampler packs of three shades so you can find the one that’s right for you. Lovely!

($17.50, Red Apple Lipstick)

Do you have a go-to cruelty free brand of lipstick you love that wasn’t featured here? Please tell me about it in the comments!

I LOVE Red Apple Lipstick! I am so glad you mentioned them. The price is $17.50, but your readers should know you can get a free tube by buying 2 and get 1 free, or trade in your old crummy lipstick and they’ll send you a new one of theirs! My favorite color right now is their Brandy Candy lip gloss. Red Apple is amazing!

Thank you for your comment! Also, I appreciate the tip – I may have to spring for a few new lipsticks if I can get one free for buying two 🙂
