A Lovely You – Makeup Tips for Every Woman

After announcing that Fergie would be the new Global Ambassador for Wet N Wild Cosmetics, the affordable and fashion-forward cosmetic brand has expanded their global impact by signing a deal with DMV Diedrichs Markenvertrieb to bring their line to Germany.

New products, packaging and fixtures are expected to arrive in stores by May 2012, and will target drugstores and mass retailers. Says Bill George, president and chief operating officer, Markwins Beauty:

DMV is the perfect partner for wet n wild, as Germany is the next logical target for the brand’s global expansion. The German economy is the largest in Europe and German women are amongst the top consumers of cosmetics. Our mix of quality, fashion and value resonates with these customers, and in DMV, we have a partner that knows the market and can deliver the support that retailers and consumers need.

I love the idea that Wet N Wild will be expanding to different countries, bringing their affordable cosmetics to the masses around the world. What do you think?

NYX Advanced Salon Nail Polish in Surf

NYX has a lot of nail colors that are perfect for spring, but I  love Surf. It’s a gorgeous pastel blue/green, and reminds me of relaxing poolside or by the ocean with a drink in my hand (preferably one with an umbrella in it.) Plus, it’s super cheap!

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Cute Pink

Flirty, flattering and oh-so-pretty, Sephora’s cream lip stain in “Cute Pink” is going to quickly become my go-to lip color for spring. It’s a vibrant, shimmery hot pink that has the staying power of a stain with the moisturizing properties of a lipbalm.

Maybelline Perfect Pastels Eye Shadow Trio in Green Gardens

Three complimentary pastel shadows are housed in this compact from Maybelline and will look great worn alone or together for a coordinating eye look. Plus, the compact tells you exactly where to put each shade, so even a makeup novice can use this palette.

Tokidoki Bellina Blush

This blush from Tokidoki contains two sheer, buildable shades you can combine to create your perfect blush. I love the “Skate Girl” shade, but “Siberia” is pretty too – especially if you want a hint of a bronze glow to liven up your complexion.

While I love the look and durability of high end nail polish, I don’t have the budget to spend upwards of $15 a bottle (or more,) especially considering how frequently I do my nails. With that in mind, I tried to find the best budget nail polishes under $10 and came away with a few winners. Keep reading after the break to see my picks!

I’m a huge believer in value makeup kits. Not only can value beauty sets save you money, but they normally come with deluxe trial sizes of products that allow you to try a product before shelling out the big bucks for the full size. While not all value makeup kits are a good deal, I’ve hand picked some that I think are absolute must-haves – check them out after the break!
