A Lovely You – Makeup Tips for Every Woman

Posts Tagged ‘Ulta

I’ve had my eye on a few things this month. Whether I’ll actually get them or not is another story entirely… but I’d love to share with you lusted-after beauty products this month. Maybe we’ll share a favorite?

Too Faced Summer Eye Summertime Sexy Eyeshadow

I’m a sucker for eyeshadow palettes, especially when they revolve around spring and summer. This palette contains plenty of neutrals AND fun brights that are totally tropical-inspired. LOVE IT. I would definitely have fun playing around with the bright pink and orange shades.

Philosophy Mangos & Cream Lipshine

For regular readers, you already know I love Philosophy’s lipshines. That’s why I am absolutely lusting after their new Mangos & Cream Lip Shine! It sounds like an absolute delicious treat, doesn’t it? Yum.

($10, Ulta)

Boscia Super Cool De-Puffing Eye Balm

I doubt I would ever spend $26 on an eye balm, but I am a sucker for cooling products – especially when it involves the eyes. Plus, this little guy just looks so darn cute! (I know, I’m weird.) This would be great when I’ve pulled an all nighter or need some cooling relief after a long, hot summer day.

($26, Sephora)

Hard Candy Kal-Eye-Descope Baked Eyeshadow Duos

I love the packaging and “edgy” look of Hard Candy products and these eyeshadow duos really caught my eye when I saw them at Walmart. They have neutrals AND fun brights, so I could really play around with my look.

What about you, ladies? What products are you currently lusting after this month?

Shade: Iced Latte

Both Sarah over at Lash Girl and Wendy from LuvLifeBeauty inspired  me to try L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadow with their rave reviews of the product, and let me tell you – they are SOOOO right!

This shadow is my new favorite beauty obsession, and I’ve already picked up four shades. It’s so different from the shadows I already own, and I don’t seem to experience nearly as much fallout with these as I do with others in my collection. Soon, I’ll be getting a camera so I’ll be able to swatch these and show you different looks I create. SO excited!

Seriously, if you haven’t tried L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow yet, do it – I purchased mine for $8 at Ulta, but you can try places like Target and drugstores as well. If you have tried these, let me know what you think!

There are always new beauty products rolling onto the market at any given time, and it can be difficult to keep up! To help make your life a little easier, I’ve narrowed the  latest beauty releases down to five must-have new beauty products you absolutely must try now.

1. Hello Kitty Graffiti Eyeshadow and Blush Palette

Who doesn’t love Hello Kitty, especially when she comes in an adorable compact that includes 4 gorgeous shadows and two flattering-on-everyone blush shades? While the products will help you look gorgeous, they’re also packed with beneficial antioxidants and fruit extracts to help improve the look and feel of your skin while protecting against free radical damage. Talk about a beauty bonus!

($35, Sephora)

2. Bliss No “Zit” Sherlock Breakout-Busting Rubberizing Mask

For the acne-prone gal, Bliss’s latest product launch helps your skin be smooth, revived and acne-free. The unique mask dries to a “rubber” like finish designed to help control oil, treat and prevent blemishes and leave your skin blissfully clear. Even if you only suffer the occasional break out, I recommend these masks to help make sure your skin stays that way!

($38/6, Ulta)

3. Philosophy Sugar Sprinkles Funnel Cake Lip Shine

I love Philosophy’s lip shines, and their latest addition is no exception. When you’re in the mood for something sweet, indulge in this guilt-free lip gloss that leaves a delightful sugary sweet taste on lips while moisturizing and protecting. The super rich gloss also coats lips in a beautiful, lustrous pink shine that lasts!

($10, Philosophy.com)

4. Nails Inc. Special Effects 3-D Glitter Nail Polish

Glitter polish is a hot trend for fall, and Nails Inc. latest offering brings us 4 high-shine, glittery shades that are perfect for a night on the town. Trust me, these polishes are completely different from anything you’ve used before! To obtain the 3-D effect, the company used two different particle sizes – genius!

($9.50, Sephora)

5. Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara

This mascara promises to lift, plump and extend lashes to doll-like proportions using their unique cone-shaped brush, and boy does it deliver! The brush reaches even those hard to reach lashes in the inner and outer corners of eyes, and is the perfect mascara for a flirtatious going-out look.

($25, Ulta)

While there are tons of new beauty products recently launched, these are the top 5 I recommend you try right now. Do you own any of these products? Which one is your favorite? Feel free to leave a comment, and stay lovely!

I am very excited about the upcoming nail trends we can expect to see this fall, especially since there are quite a few to choose from. From dark and ornate to glitzy and glam, these fall 2011 nail trends really pack a punch.

1. Neutrals

Neutrals are always a popular choice, especially for those who shy away from more “trendy” colors. From deep browns to barely-there nude and everything in between, neutral nails are fast becoming the go-to trend this fall. One to try: Essie Nail Color in Tea and Crumpets, $8, Beauty.com.

2. Glitter

While this look certainly isn’t for everyone, I adore glitter polish and feel it’s a great change for the fall season. You can wear the polish on every nail, but for a modern (and less in-your-face) twist, try painting one nail of each hand with glitter polish and paint the remaining nails a neutral or complementary shade. One to try: Sephora for Opi’s Only Gold For Me, $9.50, Sephora.com.

3. Metallics

Every year, metallic nail polish becomes a big trend and it’s easy to see why. They’re perfect for jazzing up your evening attire, and look great at parties and festive gatherings. Plus, they’re the quintessential feminine polish! One to try: Zoya Nail Polish in Tess, $8, zoya.com.

4. Jewel Tones

Rich jewel tones are a hallmark of the fall season, and nail color is following suit. From emerald green to peacock blue, rich eggplant and burnt orange, jewel tone nail polish is my favorite trend for fall 2011. One to try: ULTA Nail Polish in Envy, $5, ulta.com.

Which nail trend are you looking forward to the most this fall? Leave a comment and let me know – and, as always, stay lovely!
